First Guest Trip

Jake has been on board now for over a week taking the boat from being hauled out at the yard to where she sits now at the Hall of Fame Marina in Ft. Lauderdale. While on the hard he managed all sorts of projects like bottom paint, re-beding a/c seacocks, windlass maintenance, davit hydronic oil change, teak bung plugs, crew grey water box rebuild, re-painting the anchor chain, etc. While I've only been on board for a few days I've completed a quick detail of the entire interior of the yacht, did the provisioning for the upcoming trip & got all cabins ready for guests.

We try to save money where we can as the owners do appreciate it, so instead of ordering professionally done flowers I picked up some bouquets at the local Publix and tried my hand at making arrangements myself. Trust me, it's harder than it looks! I tried to make them as 'Eastery' as possible without looking to chinsey.  I also did a centerpiece using some fake eggs, an Easter basket and some cute chickies.

Jake and I also thought it would be fun to hide plastic Easter eggs with a treat in each throughout the boat. Should be fun for the guests!
