Well as it turns out, there was no need to get everything in order so quickly. The management office of the yacht has decided to push back the season to start in May now, so I've got an entire extra month. But hey, at least I'm ready! Now I can just relax and enjoy my last month in Charleston. The weather is starting to warm up nicely and lots of fun events are coming up like Culture Clash and The Charleston Affair, so I'm looking forward to it.
Luckily both jobs (Cupcake & The Charleston City Marina) are able to keep me on the schedule, so I am continuing to work while I wait to get word of when I'll be leaving to meet the boat. I have talked to several of my friends in the boating industry now and they all tell me that this is a common thing that happens for leave dates to be pushed back or even up, so I should be ready to go at all times. This puts my mind at ease a bit, because of course I can't help to be somewhat concerned. I don't think I have anything to worry about at this point though. I'm just taking it as a blessing that I am able to take a little more time to say goodbye to my lovely life in Charleston. I sure will miss this place!
